Too many of the memes on there are way too coherent and clever to have legitimately come from dreams. I know there's no way to verify that any of the memes were truly dreamt up, but I'm still very suspicious of their legitimacy.
A lot of the posts aren't actually memes from dreams. They're either regular dreams presented in a meme format, or straight up normal descriptions of dreams. The focus of the sub, at least I thought, was specifically memes that were directly sourced from dreams. (And yes, I know the Recreated Dream flair exists, but that doesn't mean I agree with its existence.)
A surprising number of the memes aren't actually from dreams at all. Instead it's from right before OP fell asleep, or right after they woke up, or when they closed their eyes for a few seconds, hell, even when they blinked. All of those are from real posts I have seen, even the blinking one. None of those cases involve dreams.
I'm just upset to see this sub that once had such a strange and interesting concept turn into what it is now. I believe it's gotten too popular for its own good due to the sheer amount of non-fitting posts that everyone is somehow okay with.
