Regarding the political concerns of some of the IEWU content creators…
Posting the link here as well in case I didn't link it properly in my post: https://youtube.com/shorts/tAYJncV_EzY?si=TisT6ykcsJuyekpB
If I find information that I find to be relevant to the case and this particular subreddit, I try and post it. It didn’t even cross my mind to look into the politics or beliefs of who I was posting because that is of no relevance to me personally.
Of course everyone has the right to take their stance in whatever way they see fit but I don’t see the benefit in refusing to look at or hold value in relevant and hopefully correct information because of said content creators other beliefs.
I can agree with them about their perspective about IEWU but disagree with their perspective on literally anything else.
I’m not looking to any content creator in particular for my political information. I doubt I would even be able to find anyone who would align 100% with what I believe anyway.
I feel like I can agree with someone’s take on one thing and that doesn’t mean I’m giving said person an all encompassing endorsement. If that was what I was doing, then I would clearly state that.
There are also some people with whom I agree with their take now but that could change depending on where they take their perspective or what other information I find.
I think it’s great that people from all political backgrounds and experiences (varying levels in the industry) have come together in the quest for the truth. It’s actually been a bit healing for me to hear people say things like “Justin most likely has opposing political views to mine but what’s happening here is not okay.”
Just wanted to put it out there that some people are most likely not posting with malicious intent and that posting someone does not automatically mean that you agree with who they are or what they represent or even all of their takes on this case.
*Perfect example of what I mean is this short I posted. I agree with the concept of this short but a lot of Whitney’s takes in the case have been miss for me.
What do you'll think? Do you only post information from people whose politics align with yours? Do you like the idea of people from all backgrounds coming together on this topic?
