can an employer change my application status?

so basically i applied for a job but then accidentally changed the status to not selected by employer myself, changed it back to application viewed but then saw that it went back to not selected but i was able to change it back again to application viewed a second time

so im basically just wondering is if an employer changed the application status to not selected would i be able to change it back myself? or will i just move on lol
