Second ER worse than first

TW:

I did my first ER in October and it went pretty well; 14 eggs retrieved, 11 mature, 9 fertilized, 4 blasts, 2 euploids. Based on all the calculators I’ve seen, I literally followed the statistics for a 39 year old.

Now, I’ve just completed my second round and of seven fertilized I have zero 5 day blasts. I followed the exact same protocol as last time and had been on all the supplements for even longer at this point.

I know I’m not the first person to post about a bad second round, but what I’m wondering is—how likely is it that I will go on to have a good third round? I’m approaching 40 (in Feb.) and I’m feeling really bummed that we just spent another small fortune for no return and worried that after 40 it’s going to be even more difficult. We want enough euploids for 2 kids and we’ve already been through a TFMR for chromosome abnormalities. Please and thank you for any advice! 🙏 ❤️
