Sure hope it's not infected!
Got a homebrew kit for Christmas and have a question so needless to say, I'm very much a novice at this. Today is bottling day and it looks like the yeast reactivated. I've been periodically checking my brew while it sat in a dark cabinet and the yeast was doing its thing. Not sure what's going on, but the brew had a nice golden color and was almost clear until about two days ago. It clouded back up like when calmed down after pitching the yeast, and I replaced the blow off tube, about 12 days ago. It's got a fair amount of bubbling going on as well. Think I should leave it a few more days or has the yeast been taken over by a bad yeast. It's not showing any signs of infection and the smell out the top of the air release topper just smells like beer. I don't want to open until I'm 100% ready to bottle. Any advice?
