Difficulty Level

I want to love this game but it’s way too hard. I’ve put almost forty hours in and have only unlocked the Mothwing Cloak and three maps.

Can i somehow change the difficulty level? I hate feeling like i wasted the money on this game, and i really do want to enjoy it but cant get the hang of it.

If there arent any difficulty settings could you please recommend similar games (controls / visuals / etc) that are a bit easier? I just want to relax after work, not spike my blood pressure because i just died quite literally twenty eight times in a row trying to achieve what seems to be a basic task.
