Does anyone else feel like the Natlan characters break immersion?
Ik that we are hyped up because of how cracked Xilonen is, but I feel alone in being incredibly bugged with how immersion breaking numerous Natlan characters are. Ororon is definitely the worst offender, dude has ripped skinny jeans (I thought he was a Honkai character), but Xilonen and even Mavuika sort of take me out of it because of how si-fi their tech/clothes is. I'm aware that Genishin is a pretty expiremental fantasy setting, but at the same time that feel like a lazy explanation to a fairly abrubt break with the consistensy in attetion to detail the game has had so far.
It might partially be due to disappointment with how I expected Natlan to be. We had just been in two different settings where we saw pretty well explained technologically evolved societies that are each, to some extent, driven by the force of divine power. I sort of thought Fontaine would represent the peak of mechanical technology in Teyvat. Natlan, being the nation of war, would have been a great oppertunity to go back to a more primal society using dragons for various things instead of technology, since resources would be scarece.
Instead we got a near present day society that makes no real sense with the rest of the world. Barbatos is out there wearing pantaloons while Xilonen is cooking up beats on an actual DJ controller.
