What is going on with mail delivery????
I am at a loss. Over the years, USPS has always been a problem, followed by FedEx, and UPS is normally steadfast. For the last couple of weeks, all mail has been an absolute disaster, regardless of who it is coming from. This is not the typical "holiday season" or "weather delay" woes.
3 of 5 USPS packages got lost at the first location they were even scanned at. One package arrived as an empty envelope that had obviously been cut open. Many more pieces of male arrived severely late.
A FedEx employee very evidently stole my package (audio equipment). It stopped scanning for 6 days. Then I saw it posted on FB marketplace for way under retail (it was also a fairly unique piece of equipment that is not commonly seen), and when I reported it, it magically appeared again in the local FedEx facility and started moving again within about 2 hours. Then, it arrived in a generic box (not what the origin company ships in), with a re-taped label that had obviously been ripped off the original box, and missing the original box, peripherals, and paperwork for the equipment. FedEx refused to investigate.
UPS deliveries have all been late. Packages are sitting for like a week until I contact UPS, and then magically the package moves almost immediately after contacting customer service.
I find it seriously weird that all of the carriers are suddenly the Wild West. Does anyone have insight into what is happening? It seems like there are pockets across the US where this is happening right now with seemingly no explanation. It's not a good feeling when you can't trust government OR private mail services...
