Fallout 4 Marine Armor makes no sense

In just read that the Desert Ranger Combat Armor is USMC standard issue in the Fallout universe but if so then why does the Marine Armor in Fallout 4 of the Far Harbor DLC exist doesn't this contradict the lore quite a bit?
