Phantom LUTs & White Balance

I’ve noticed that when manually setting white balance for Phantum LUTs, adding a little magenta seems to get rid of the greenish-yellowish gunk. Also, I typically monitor my shots with the Neutral LUT and can get pretty close to a one click grade in my office with my lighting set to 5600k and white balance in camera set to 4500k with a little magenta. I played around with the other LUTs and they really need magenta since they’re so stylized. Vision and Vision Teal need cooler temps + magenta and Utopia needs magenta but you’ll want to mess around with the kelvin because it seems to have a blue-ish tone to it. In DaVinci, I’ve found myself always having to reduce red and add blue for Vision Teal, and for Utopia, sometimes it can require more warmth depending on what you set your wb to. Although Joel suggested 5500k, 5000k, and 4300k, these LUTs tend to be on the warmer side while the Neutral LUT is the easiest to nail. But when you nail the Neutral LUT in camera and try adding Vision Teal in post, it’s gonna be off and pretty annoying to correct. So I highly recommend going for a cooler kelvin and adding magenta when using any other Phantom LUT aside from Neutral. And you’ll still want to add magenta for Neutral, just not as hard to eyeball as the others. (The picture is the Neutral LUT).
