Hypo: Recession.
Hey all, I'm a teenager and have just started to "smartly" invest my money. Stopped the options and degeneracy and started going all into VOO, VXUS, etc. However after doing my research, I've become ever more worried about the "inconvenient signs" of a recession. Fed has pivoted similarly to 2008 and 2001 and we know how that ended, Warren Buffet has more Liquidity - Stock ratio than ever even in 2008. Similar downplaying is going on and I'm simply worried.
Now my question. Currently, I'm extremely non-liquid. About 90% of my money (about 1800 of 2K) is in the ETF's mentioned before (SLV, VOO, VXUS). Obviously the future isn't always based on past results but with the super-similar signs and the same downplaying as in 2008 occurring, what steps should I take? Should I just hold my positions and not invest any more? Should I continue my heavy stock : cash ratio? Should I pull out of the market? Or even am I just stupid and overthinking this whole recession idea? What are y'alls plans with the though of recession looming?
