Finally being exposed to Veilgaurd hate - and it is the biggest load of BS I've ever seen.

You might wonder how I haven't run into hate until now - the reason is because I remember how awful this Fandom was when Inquisition came out. It made me hate the game before I even played it. I knew all the major plot points because the Fandom shoved every tiny bit of information they received in my face and screamed "look how terrible Inquisition is!" From plot, to character, to romance, the game was never good enough- and it hadn't even come out yet! It made me loath the game right down to actually playing it. So I decided I wouldn't let the toxic cesspool of entitlement that is the DA Fandom ruin Veilgaurd for me.

And boy am I glad! I took every measure possible to block any and all content about Veilgaurd until I could play it myself. The moment the Fandom spoiled E and G (sensors for spoilers) showing up, I shut everything down.

Now that I'm trying to see some fun fan content on other social media sights, I am gnashing my teeth at the absolute bullshit these people come up with to hate the game.

Someone in this sub today complained about the character creator - meanwhile this sub has shown a huge diversity in beautiful Rooks. Someone literally made a DA2 lore consistent male Qunari. People claim that Solas would never say what he did during the end game. Like, honey boo boo, if you think the God of lies hasn't been lying to everyone -including himself- this whole fucking time... you're just a Solas boot licker. People complaining about lore written in codex entries from Orgins being retconned. Or that 5 minutes worth of cameos that referenced what we did in other games isn't present. When let's be honest, you're letting five minutes of content ruin your experience. 5 minutes.

And while yes, it is disappointing (Especially when there are so many places cameos easily could have been fit in) the sheer entitlement is astounding. And to see people who hated Inquisition circle back ten years later like a bleating sheep is pathetic. In another ten years Veilgaurd will be up on that pedestal and the new game will be the worst thing to ever happen to the Fandom.
