Client doesn't want to spend any money
This one client that I'm dealing with, has an e-commerce website that sells expensive clothes and he wants sales by any means. He proposed that I'll offer him free SEO and other services for one month, sort of like a trial period and if he gets any sale, I will receive some amount of commission and that if he liked the results, he will hire me permanently. I agreed to it since this is my first freelancing gig. Today I asked him if he's open to spending some money on meta ads and Google ads since it's the fastest way to get sales, he declined saying that he just wants to focus on organic growth strategies like SEO, social media management and email marketing for now. Now my point is that there's no way he'll be able to get sales in the first month without investing some amount in paid ads, considering the price of the products. It also takes atleast 6 months to bring traffic to his website through SEO and if I invest my time in this for the first few months without any sales, I won't get paid. Should I go with his offer or should I ditch it?
