Non Nazi gun shop recommendations

Welp The time has come that my husband and I have decided we would like to get a gun for our safety. I am not comfortable going into gun shops where there might be neo-Nazi shit or where the sales people are super maga. I know that's a tall order to ask, but I am sure that there's got to be a gun shop who will not talk politics even if we differ. I'm definitely very nervous about doing this, so any recommendations of shops and or shooting ranges and classes would be appreciated. Obviously we will be taking classes to get licensed and be safe about it.
