Splitting the rooms in two

Hi guys, so I've got this big issue with kitchen smells entering the living room. Where I'm standing on the pic is the living room the opposite side is the kitchen diner. You can see the kitchen units in black edging out of the partition. I want some kind of low profile sliding door system that can completely isolate the two rooms with regards to air/smell and then be able to fully open at will.

The opening is 1800mm and so I took a chance and purchased below with doors sizing 928mm width which equates to a max of 1856mm which just about completely covers the opening. I've got a problem now however where there is still a depth gap between the opening and the semi-partion wall, how do I close this off? Also what other alternatives are there to this product? Please help!
