Superman villain

What’s your prediction for how Superman got sent flying into the ice/snow? Why do u think the villain or whatever did this didn’t finish the job (assuming they’re fighting.) Superman looks pretty beat up tbh. If I was fighting Superman I would’ve tried to finish the job right then and there if I saw him unable to stand and wheezing.
