How to roast chicken wings/thighs in the oven with oranges?

I have a lot of oranges that no one is eating. On a different thread someone suggested roasting a chicken in the oven with the oranges. Do I need to do anything or can I just toss the peeled oranges in with the chicken into the oven? Would making a sauce to put on the chicken work better?
