Steering Column Motor and backordered parts

A while back I made a post about problems I had with the power steering failing. Brought it to a dealer and they claim th steering column motor needs replaced. The part however is on backorder and has been for at least a month now (when I brought the car in).

Is there any way for me to see how long this has been on backorder or an estimated time to resolution? Can I know if it will be brought back at all?
