BPO Job Offer in Cebu IT Park from Manila
i'm currently working in a BPO company located in quezon city manila, and i was offered free airfare, a 30-day free hotel stay while the HR team helps look for an apartment i can stay in, a 35k relocation allowance, and a 150k incentive that i will partly get every 6 months (so 50k every 6 months) in exchange for working in their Cebu site; specifically located in Cebu IT Park as a claims intake agent for an insurance company.
for reference, i'm F25, currently earning 28k/month after tax. 7k of that i send to my family monthly, 21k remains which is my overall food, rent, work and leisure budget. no savings. i'll also be relocating with my partner (no savings as well but can borrow), he'll find a new job in car dealerships.
i agreed to this job since (1) i can't get 50k anywhere in my current state every 6 months (will be used to upstart passive cash flow), (2) it's a rare opportunity to return to a blank slate, have a fresh start as someone in their 20s with the love of their life, and (3) be able to leave near beaches (correct me if i'm wrong pls). in terms of leaving our life in manila, i realized we can go back naman every 1-2 months to cope with possible homesickness (we have a very outgoing lifestyle with friends back home).
- kaya naman po kaya mamuhay comfortably with my current financial state, given na kahati ko partner ko in all payables?
- malapit din po ba talaga sa beaches if we get an apartment near cebu it park? (badly needed yung beach as a body of water nearby for our overall mental health)
- is the living cost generally cheaper than living in manila?
- may mahahanap na po ba na 2-bedroom apartment na around 8-10k monthly near cebu it park?
- will it be a good or wrong decision? we're able to live an outgoing lifestyle now since we receive help from parents minsan, and if cebu kami we're totally on our own. we're fairly positive i and we want to relocate, but ngl it's a biggg leap of faith :')
anything relevant you may share will absolutely be appreciated. tysm in advance, cebu folks!
