am I being harsh for trying to distance myself for someone ( whom I really close with) just because I’m slowly falling for him?

I’m naturally distant (my way of recharging) and some people are taking it too personal.

So I am somehow attached and prolly have feelings for this guy (main reason why I try to give space between us) and I’m confused why he’s trying act like this.
