Car vibrates/makes humming sound on a specific stretch of road

In my hometown, they recently repaved a road that now makes a humming/ringing sound as you drive over it, and you can feel the vibration on the floor of the car in your feet as you drive over it. I don't think it's the car itself causing it - it only starts when we reach the repaved section, and stops when we leave it. I've experienced it on multiple cars and you can also hear the vibrations of other cars at the same time.

Any idea what could cause something like this? When I google it, I only get results for roads that intentionally do this, but I don't think this one is intentional.
