First car; Need opinion and have questions

Hi guys,

I am 27M working in Bangalore in initial planning to buy a car.

Checked Tata Punch and Tata Nexon. Skoda Kushaq (Went for kylaq but not present in showroom); Mahindra 3XO.

My parents have Hyundai Venue at home and Not considering any Hyundai car rn.

I can comfortably afford upto 12L car with emis. Planning to get car from home state as the registration cost is significantly lower.

Use case will be weekend trips and majority southern india trips.

I have questions about following things in decreasing order of severity.

1. ⁠Will skoda maintenance burn hole in my pocket?
2. ⁠Is it worth getting a car when I only use it for emergencies and weekends?
3. ⁠Didn’t like Tatas. Mostly Skoda if kylaq is as good as kushaq (the showroom executive said it is.) or should consider 3xo?
4. ⁠Is it ok if I keep an out state car in Karnataka?
