Lateral Store Promotions

My store recently had an opening for a new Operations Supervisor, and we also are being pressured by our DL into getting more cross trained front store employees.

I talked to my manager and volunteered to cross train if I also received the Operations Supervisor role. He is open to the idea, but wanted me to get Operations Supervisor first, then the Rx title, that way I could max out the raises from both promotions. I pointed out that these were both lateral promotions, and was under the impression that this meant that they did not receive a raise upon promotion.

He said he thought they did, but now was not sure, so he said he would consult the District Leader to get a definitive answer. While we wait for the response, I figured I’d ask around.

Does anyone else know for sure if both roles get a raise?
