Struggling with thumb fit(newbie)
Got my new balls drilled an after about a week of throwing, I ended up having my thumb get stuck trying to roll the ball. Happening to the point I reached out to my pro and had him drill it out further.. I was worried about it seeing everyone says it’s a mistake as it needs to fit tight but it was in my head so bad it was ruining the fun of it for me and was so in my head I couldn’t hardly get my finger out of the ball.
That’s been a month ago and I’ve been bowling couple times each week.
Working on my release I am now letting my hand and wrist get more relaxed and noticing the thumb hole is too big now. No chance of picking the ball up with out squeezing it.
Added a bunch of tape to the thumb hole and forced my self to get over the fear of getting stuck. I can tell a difference just reacting in my house releasing the ball.
What is the step now? Am I stuck to just using a lot of tape to try and make my thumb comfortable now or any other better options?
My fingers definitely fluctuate as I’m sure all of yours does.
