Do the px8 sound significantly better than the px7 s2E? Does the sound quality warrant the price?

So I recently bought the px7 s2e on amazon brand new and was disappointed in them in terms of sound quality but I will say I do love the fit and the build quality. Please don’t get mad at my opinion but I personally felt like they sounded like the Sony xm4’s, a little better in the clarity and instrument separation but not by a lot, especially since the xm4’s have better ANC and transparency. Which is why I’m asking if the px8 sound better than these ones because I love the simplicity of the bowers and Wilkins app, it is so easy to use compared to the Sony app. So if you guys have bought the px8 please let me know if they are a huge step above the px7 s2e.
