How powerful was Gale pre-Orb?

We know he was (one of) Mystra's Chosen , had exceptional talent since childhood that got him noticed by Mystra in the first place and he was one of the youngest arch mages.

Mystra tells Gale during the tabernacle visit that Gale was lucky the orb "only consumed his magic" instead of straight up killing him. Combined with the fact that the tadpoles have significantly weakened every origin character means Gale is a pretty nerfed version of himself when we encounter him in the game.

How powerful was Gale before his little oopsie?

Edit to add: I imagine he was easily Lvl 15 and above, but more specifically what are some kind of feats he could accomplish?
