Is My Freelance Offer from Switzerland Fair?

Hi all,

I got a freelance offer from Switzerland as an IT Solution Architect. I initially asked for €700/day, which I now realize is a bit low. The role requires travel once a month, with the client covering travel and accommodation.

I mentioned they need to pay 21% VAT on top of the €700. They countered by offering to raise my rate to €847/day to include VAT, but I pointed out that this still leaves me with only €669 after VAT.

They’ve now offered €886/day, which would leave me with around €700 after the 21% VAT.

Here’s my situation: - I’m setting up a BV in Belgium but don’t have a business account yet. Already sent email to some accounts waiting for first meeting. - I’m currently employed and new contract from Swiss is a subcontracting role not directly with client. Need to visit client office.

Is this a fair deal? What complications should I watch out for? Can I manage this through my BV in Belgium, and should I invoice in euros? Any tax implications or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
