I still don’t really understand, shouldn’t Hulk have done better against Thanos here?

Like I understand that Thanos without the stones is still a pretty strong being, but I find it weird that Hulk got beaten this badly. I mean couldn’t he get angrier? Overpower Thanos? It’s normally what happens with most opponents Hulk fights
