I'm a parent, and my daughter's school keeps feeding the students cold as ice food
In my daughter's school, (she's in middle school), the school requires students to bring their own lunches in a Tiffin box so that they can warm it in the hot case in every class. Now the problem is since 4th grade, my daughter has been complaint about the hot case always never warming the food.
At first when she told this to me in 4th grade I contacted the teacher so that they can fix the hot case is that students have their lunches warm, since here winters are hell in my state. They did tell they'll fix their hotcase, after a few days it did get fix but again it's broken again. This kept on going till 5th, they'll fix it it will work for 1-3 days maximum again it will malfunction. Even when it was fine it would still warm the lunches very low. I again contacted the teacher in 5th class PTM that they should buy a new hot case. They didn't.
So now when 6th started last year, again this shit kept on going. Even if it was a new hotcase. I don't knew if they buy the worst or cheapest quality that the hotcase keeps on getting malfunctioned. When I'd complain to the teachers they'd say students forgot to turn it on or that's it malfunctioned they'll fix it blah blah. They fix it, it gets malfunctioned again. My daughter has started eating half of her lunch as she says that it's ice cold and she can't eat it. I totally understand that. The temps are below 0 and y'all are feeding them cold food? It can give them infection nor no one would like eating cold food in these temperatures, while all staffs and teachers get to enjoy warm food cuz somehow the hotcase in staff room never gets malfunctioned (rarely), I've complained several times last month I went to the principal about this when she told me that from beginning other classes have been experiencing this too. The principal said they'll fix it again. Like as a parent if we our paying so high costs for facilities at school and for their education why can't you provide them with warm food? That's the least you can do. What should I do?
Edit: First of all yes I'm considering to buy a thermos lunch for her, but ATM I'm not financially stable to afford them I'll save money for that. Second don't call me spoiler and rich when I can't even afford that. third yes in India it's not common and you Will get a complain from teachers if you're gonna send only raw vegetables or salad. Every country is different so are their rules and culture. Many schools in India allow snacks but mostly only on snacks day, which my girl's school doesn't have. No sandwiches allowed for god knows what reason. no non veg etc. and to the perosn who called vulgur I don't get where you got that from what did I say to be called that. And to those who are calling me liars, please watch on Google and you'll find out that samosa, idli, Bombay sandwich, dahi bundi etc are street foods, require many ingredients to make and require separate machines or tools to make. And yes I will try and reporting this to the cityIn countries like mine, lunch is the main deal for the day. Warm lunch fulls you more than snacks. Plus yea samosa doesn't require any machine but when I already mentioned that snacks aren't allowed that included samosa. It needs many ingredients to make, y'all think making street food is that easy?
