What's with guys pissing on public toilet seats??

Every time I use the toilet at the gym I go to, at least 1 of the 3 toilet seats are covered in urine. And not just a few drops, it's splashed all over the seat. Are you guys peeing blindfolded?? And why not just clean up after yourself with toilet paper or just lift the seat before? Or even just use the urinals that's are solely created for men to piss in?? Are people really this oblivious to their mess or just too inconsiderate to care? Either way baffles my mind...
