Why Do People Assume Sometimes LGBT People Are Progressive And Secular?

TW: Conservative, religious, pro life politics.

Hi everyone - so I'm non-binary, transgender, and aroace. A lot of people find it very odd that I mostly lean socially right. I wonder why this is?

Here are some of my social and theological views:

God is the ultimate authority over all things.

Moral values are absolute and given by God, not subject to human interpretation.

Prayer and worship should be central to daily life.

Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God.

Divorce is generally discouraged except in extreme circumstances.

Sex should happen in a monogamous, committed, loving relationship. It is sacred. It should be protected like condoms etc.

Gambling is immoral.

Alcohol and drugs are bad for bodies - we should get people with problems related to this medical help.

Abortion is morally wrong and should be illegal in most circumstances.

Religious education should be included in public schooling.

I am a strict vegetarian.

Despite this I am completely LGBT affirming. Why do people think it's weird to be a religious traditionalist and also LGBT affirming? LGBT people are mentioned in a positive way in many Hindu scriptures for thousands of years. I believe God loves everyone, including LGBT people. Respecting everyone is important. I believe we are all one family under Almighty God. So, I think it's weird people assume that if you are LGBT, it's weird to be right leaning on many social issues and believe in God. Please explain. Thanks.
