Smelled melted plastic when I came home, bulb burned/melted? Is it safe to continue using the floor lamp?

The socket of the lamp is fine, no scorching etc. It turns on ok with another LED bulb. I don’t want to have to buy a new lamp if I can help it, I just want to be safe.
