Safe to wrap LED driver for recessed light in electrical tape?

I’m installing a recessed LED light, but the external driver doesn’t fit in the provided space. I initially wrapped it in electrical tape for insulation, but I’m concerned about heat buildup and long-term safety due to poor ventilation. Or should I just leave it without the case unwrapped?
