Grandpa found this in a bombed out pub in Belgium in WWII. Any info?

As the title says, my grandpa found this in WWII - apparently it was a set - grandpa took one and his buddy took the other. The craftsmanship is wonderful, but beyond that I can’t really find anything about it.
