Please help!

I’m a new player and my animal crossing is acting up. Here are my issues:

• I go to the same island every time using my bell tickets.
• I have all the requirements to open up the cafe in the museum, but I go to the same island every time so I can’t find Brewster.
• Sometimes I can’t even travel at all using my bell tickets and I think it’s because I don’t update my passport photo but I’m not sure.

Am I doing anything wrong??😭 I just want to okay to my full potential and beat the game and create a nice island but it’s so hard with these barriers in the way.
