I'm going on date with someone almost 3 years older than me

For context, I'm 14, the guy I'm gonna go on a date with is 16, turning 17 this year.

It's a blind date (I know things about him, I've talked to him over text I know what he looks like we just haven't quite "met"), All my friends say that once you're a bit older the age gap wont matter blah blah blah

My parents have a 7 year age gap as well.

I find the next like 5? years weird (Not meaning that it's going to turn into anything at all, but a possibility is still there)

Him➡18 Me➡15 ➡ Felony

Him➡19 Me➡16➡ Still a felony

Him➡20 Me➡17 ➡ Still a felony

Him➡21 Me ➡18 ➡ Not a felony

He's older than my sister, this doesn't mean I am going to date him, I'm just asking if anyone thinks this is wrong or right. The guy "acts" like my age, and according to everybody else "I'm 22" which doesn't make sense. Can anyone make light or even dark of this situation?

EDIT: Thank you to the person who said "If it's an issue in the future, break up, if it's not, it's fine for now. And after just one date doesn't mean you're actually gonna date, and if you do doesn't mean it's gonna last more than 3 months"
