How would you delay accepting a job offer?
Hello Redditors, I'd like to get your thoughts on this situation. So I'm currently in the market for a new job after being let go from a Big 4 firm a few months ago. I have an interview tomorrow with another big 4 tomorrow. At the same time I had a screening call with HR last week for an industry job that I'm waiting to find out if I will progress to formal interviews. My experience is suited for both jobs but I would rather have the industry job over Big 4. I don't want to get ahead of myself but in the case the Big 4 makes me an offer before I find out about the industry job, how would you go about delaying letting the Big 4 know? Should I email the recruiter for the industry job to let them know that the Big 4 is pushing my interviews along and that I would like to know if I'm in consideration for it so I can make a decision? I'm in a bind because I've been out of work for a bit and really need a job, but at the same time the industry job is like the perfect situation for me (fully remote and industry hours). Thoughts?
