Shakespearean Inspiration
This day is call'd Championship Sunday.
They that outlive this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, And rouse them at the name of AFC Champion.
They that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast their neighbors, And say "To-morrow is Championship Sunday." Then will they strip their sleeve and show their scars, And say "These wounds I had in the AFC Championship."
The Old forget; yet all shall be forgot, But they’ll remember, with advantages, What feats they did that day.
Then shall our names, Familiar in their mouth as household words
— Allen the King, Milano and Bernard, Cook and Davis, Shakir and Knox, Oliver and Phillips, Hamlin and Rousseau, Kincaid and Hollins. —
Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered. This story shall the good fan teach his child; And a Championship Sunday shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered
— We few, we happy few, we band of Mafia; For them to-day that sheds their blood with me Shall be in TheBills Mafia; be they ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle their condition;
And Fans in America now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their personhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Championship Sunday.
