My update

I posted about 3 weeks ago about wether or not I think I tore my acl…

Got a call on Thursday - fully torn acl and mcl.

I’m from the uk so went through NHS and got my next appointment next Thursday , but have spoken to my physio and she is trying to get me to not get surgery.

I am a 23 year old male who is fairly active, I play football (soccer) about 3 times a week but I’m going to stop playing due to always picking up injuries but I had also started going back to a MMA gym as I done it when I was younger and I feel is a much safer way of staying active (4+ plus coaches watching over each session etc)

I told them this and they said some people can go without having an acl for life, and maybe try and go down this route (like they are just trying to get me off the system)??

Has anyone been advised to try and go without an acl surgery, if so how has it impacted you in playing sports, walking, daily life stuff?

Appreciate any feedback or comments 😀👍🏻
