Printer recommendation

My son is asking me for a 3D printer for his birthday to print these kind of props.

He’s too young to make models himself but as I see there are plenty of people who provide digital files to print that isn’t an issue.

Could you guys give me a recommendation for a 3D printer that would work well for items like these in particular?

I’m reluctant to go for an elaborate model in terms of price and capabilities as he will probably only use the basics and I’m not sure he will keep using it.
