Racket purchasing beta for a Yonex lover
I used to play a lot of tennis a lifetime ago and recently have picked it back up with my partner. I still had my racket from the late 90's and still use it (restrung and regripped). Recently I thought about upgrading. I did quite a bit of searching around for the "right" answer online but I find myself here to ask this question because I feel too far out of the loop. Also the demoing racket thing seems a bit much, at least for where I am in life currently. The racket I'm trying to upgrade from is the Yonex Cyborg 2700 midsize. The previous racket was a Prince CTS Synergy 28 midsize. My tendency is to hit hard and flat forehands (mostly two handed) and hit 50/50 two handed backhands either pretty flat or slice. I do enjoy hitting volleys though I suck at it. That all said, from the research I did I'm wondering about the Yonex Vcore and Ezone (both 98s and 100s). Hoping someone here has some input that might help me (I did already creep on the reddit posts that compare the two but I'm looking for someone old enough to know my old racket or something comparable). Also to note I saw a listing on FB marketplace for a Vcore 100 for cheap and wondered what the hell maybe I'll just try it--but then I keep seeing how it's loved for it's ability to help with spin, and I hit pretty flat. Blah blah blah, I feel silly asking because I'm just a recreational player but I'm someone that really likes to do proper research before purchases. Thanks in advance for any advice!
